Communicating the plan
A well thought out and realistic plan is the first step to implementation. Many plans don’t work because they had never been thought through properly in the first place. A well thought out plan also needs to articulated in such a way that the whole team can understand it and work at making it a reality. We have a proven method known as Strategy Mapping for rolling out and communicating the plan.
Organisation development
There are two (related) keys to executing any plan. The first is functional (not personal!) accountability. We say "Everybody needs a job and every job needs a body". We need to know who is responsible for what and we need to know that everything is the responsibility of someone. Without clarity in this area business success is dependent on, and at the expense of, the business owner's own time, energy and even health! The obk organisational review goes on to question whether all team members are sitting on the right seat in the bus.* This rarely is the case. Organisational development seeks the alignment of key people to the right roles within the business to optimise the chances of executing the plan. To assist with organisational development we use a software product called Intellectual Capital Manager™. This software product is web based and has been developed to assist businesses with designing, establishing and rolling out functional accountability within their businesses.
